My name is Stefan Murray, but friends call me Biff.

I’ve always been drawn to stories. As a kid it was cartoons and video games; the worlds, the characters, the tiny details that made everything come to life. At the time I didn’t know that instinct would eventually turn into a career.

I started out studying Marketing at South Carolina State University, but about two years in something felt off. So when the school introduced a new Digital Media degree, I took the leap. It felt right.

My final two years were a blur of design fundamentals, printmaking, animation, curating exhibitions, and plenty of late nights with Adult Swim playing in the background.

After graduating, I landed at an ad agency in Trinidad and Tobago and was thrown straight into the deep end; designing print ads, illustrating, retouching photography, and eventually writing. Over the next decade I worked with agencies and brands across the Caribbean, including Caribbean Airlines and Hilton Hotels & Resorts, sharpening my craft as an art director.

Eventually I moved to Canada and enrolled in the Advertising Copywriting post-grad program at Humber College, expanding into strategy and storytelling.

Today I work across both disciplines, art direction and copywriting, helping brands find the clearest expression of who they are.

The best ideas start with empathy. Real human insights, shaped into stories people recognise themselves in, don’t just get noticed, they get remembered.
